Timeline of Events
On this page you will find the tentative timeline of events, including but not limited to approximate event dates, submission deadlines, notification deadlines, and more. As of November 2025 these dates are only approximate and proposed and may change as details are finalized.
September 2026 - Festival Dates Announced
In September of 2026 we hope to announce final festival dates for the inaugural running of the Sparks Regional Film Festival.
OCTOBER 2026 - Submissions Open
In October of 2026 we will open early-bird submissions for the Sparks Regional Film Festival.
February 2027 - Submissions Close
In February 2027 we will close submissions to the Sparks Regional Film Festival to give our team time to manually review 100% of each submission. We are committed to not using AI tools to review submissions for eligibility.
March 2027 - Notifications
In March 2027 we will notify teams that entered films that are official selections as well as individual nominees of their status. We will also notify teams whose films did not make the cut.
April/May 2027 - Event
The 2027 running of the Sparks Regional Film Festival will occur over approximately two days but may be expanded if necessary.
