The Sparks Regional Film Festival (SRFF) will debut with its inaugural event in the Spring of 2027. Dedicated to celebrating local creativity, SRFF will spotlight stories from filmmakers who live in, are from, or have filmed in our region - as well as films that capture the spirit of our communities.
Unlike larger, qualification-focused festivals, SRFF isn’t about chasing awards or red carpets. It’s about celebrating the artists, stories, and talent that make our region unique - and strengthening the bonds of our growing local film community.
Hosted in Sparks, Nevada, the SRFF serves a region that includes Northern Nevada, Northern California, Southern Oregon, and parts of Southern Idaho. In the coming months, the SRFF Board will finalize and publish the list of counties included in this regional footprint. The guiding principle is simple: every part of the region should be within an eight-hour drive of Sparks, ensuring the festival remains truly accessible and regionally connected.
Categories, rules, and quotas will be announced in the near future.
